The Work of Judith Selby-Lang and Richard Lang
Click images below to discover the eternal story of love and plastic.
From Here to Eternity, explores the love story of Judith Selby and Richard Lang and the silent drama of our plastic world. A global story revealed through our intrepid artist adventurers on Kehoe beach. They are trying to be put themselves out of business by ending the production of their raw materials, single-use plastic. We could have also titled this show Nurdle Alert. Nurdles are the tiny pre-production plastic pellets that float from here to eternity in the belly's of birds, babes, and fish, and cover once pristine beaches around the world. Judith and Richard's playful art illustrates our need to address the dangers and disasters of plastic. These artists bring home a strong message to all of us through what is truly composed of fine art, our most powerful political address. A wreath of washed-up bottle caps is their olive branch of hope. We can each begin to protect our natural environment and all living organisms by using less plastic or at least be inspired to make art out of that which we have used.
Join artists, writers, environmentalists, lovers, and friends helping Judith Selby and Richard Lang tell the story of our world through the plastic they find on this quarter-mile of the beach and join us for the several events to be held this June. This exciting show can't be missed, it will change your life.

Richard Lang and Judith Selby-Lang have been collecting plastic debris off one beach in Northern California for over twelve years. Each piece of plastic Richard and Judith pick up comes back to their house, where it gets cleaned, categorized and stored before being used for their art. The couple make sculptures, prints, jewelry and installations with the plastic they find washed up, raising awareness of the problem of plastic pollution in our seas and helping all of us to be inspired to find a solution.
