Curator Daisy Carlson
Daisy Carlson - Curator with young Maasai Climate Activists |
Daisy Carlson thinks that trash can tell us a lot about our lives and one thing that it is saying loud and clear is that we need to reconsider our relationship to single-use plastic. She hopes this show reminds us not to forget that each action matters, and using less plastic is one very important starting point to creating a safer world for all species.
Carlson founded Daisy Arts Inc. in 1992 to support the integrity of hand-made Italian crafts and book arts in retail markets. Her designs are sold in major department stores and museums worldwide. Carlson more recently has produced a film & published several photo essays on the plight of children in East Africa as they face their own environmental challenges. Her work seeks to clarify the connection between climate change and sustainable development. Carlson believes that we can end hunger in our lifetime with a robust carbon market that supports deep system sustainable development and girls' education.
